10 #EndBadgovernance protesters get bail

Ten #EndBadgovernance protesters were Wednesday granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

The presiding judge, Emeka Nwite, after hearing submission from their counsels granted bail to Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye, Aka Lenin, and nine other protesters.

Adaramoye and others are facing a six-count charge of treason, incitement to mutiny, intimidation of the president, destabilisation of the country, and destruction of public property.

They were prosecuted by the federal government for allegedly engaging in activities that undermine national security and public order.

The defendants in the case, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/454/2024, include defendants such as Adaramoye, Adeyemi Abiodun Abayomi, Suleiman Yakubu, Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo Simon (aka Sob-S!), Angel Love Innocent (aka Loveth), Buhari Lawal, Mosiua Sadiq, Bashir Bello (aka Murtala), Nuradeen Khamis, and Abdulsalam Zubairu.

All of them pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) when it was read to them.
