A traditional ruler in Kwara South senatorial district, Oba Johnson Tejumola Iranloye, has urged the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and other leaders, to consider politicians with vision for elective offices and community service in the next political dispensation.
Specifically, the monarch said the likes of Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, the Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, should be allowed to return because of his good representation of the people at the grassroots.
Oba Iranloye, who is the Alapa of Agbonda Eku Apa in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, spoke in Agbonda at the Empowerment Programme organised by the state Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olabode Adekanye.
He said it is imperative to ensure people with good intention are given the chance to make positive impact in the lives of the masses.
He said the society would be better off if people with brighter minds are entrusted with public offices, stressing that the incumbent Kwara South Senator, Dr. Ibrahim, should be allowed to continue in his work that has touched the lives of many rural dwellers.
He praised the legislator for identifying with Agbonda community, noting he is always ready to assist the people. The monarch enjoined other office holders to emulate Senator Ibrahim’s humanitarian services with a view to making life worth living for the people.
“When you look at what Senator Rafiu Ibrahim has been doing, one would say he is a good representative of the people. He has not disappointed us since he found himself in that office.
“He has been identifying with our community. Anytime we have festivals in this community, he is always ready to assist and even participate personally.

“And this has been in the news all over, rendering community service. This is the kind of people that are needed in public offices. People like him are needed to be trusted again, because he would represent the people well”, the monarch said.
